Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepard; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. he leads me in the paths of righteosness for his name's sake. even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. surely goodness and mercy shall follow me the rest of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, he cares for you.

Oh yes! I'm a huuuge fan of Psalm 23, too, especially, since it is great for soothing fears. =) It sounds really beautiful in KJV, too. =)

ReplyDeleteI could show it to you in one of ours when you come over sometime. Basically it has a bunch of thee's and thou's instead of the you's and stuff. It's pretty awesome and old fashioned. =) I should totally embroider it on something for my bedroom when I move out and have a place to put it...
